WEDNESDAY PAINTING DEMO – This week we will look not at paintings but a selection of my own collages as it fits in with todays class. 


The class is useful for all levels of ability. 


Required materials and tools


Scissors, glue stick, tape, Drawing materials, charcoal, graphite, ink, pastels – anything else you might want to try.

Today your aim is to build a drawing that is a map/model/exploration of the Art School Building in a creative and unusual manor. Not only taking in to account the room we are in but the entire building, where it sits, its occupants and their individual occupations, the ideas that are held within the building and the ways it is connected to the world beyond. We are moving beyond the idea of drawing singular observations to making multiple observations both visual and mentally to quickly produce enough material to cut up, tear up, layer, rearrange, repeat and compose in to a new kind of image.
